This is a beautiful new boutique hotel in the heart of Vienna with interiors inspired by the classic Viennese approach to architectural modernism.
Domesticity is at the heart of the concept, so the 39 rooms are conceived not as traditional hotel rooms, but relaxed living spaces, including cosy window seats with magnificent views over the city.
Rooms range from 23 to 52 sqm and instead of desks there is comfortable lounge furniture and generous open space. Bathrooms with reeded glass sliding doors open up to enhance the sense of space and light and the dramatic duplex suites created in the roof space have a luxurious apartment feel.
Sourcing the work of Austria’s most celebrated designers, we furnished the rooms with Friedrich Kiesler chairs manufactured by Wittmann, and crockery by the distinguished Austrian manufacturer Lilien Porzellan, who re-issued their classic 1950s cup design exclusively for the hotel.
The team also enlisted the help of renowned Viennese metalsmith Carl Auböck, who created a series of bespoke brass products and fittings for the rooms and public areas, from bookends to coat hooks.
These elements are all brought together by a simple, understated interior scheme, finished in polished brass, oak, marble and ceramics.
