Matteo Ragni at Fuorisalone with “ARTIGO. Neverending evolution”
The value of our history and the importance of never stopping our evolution process. Artigo presents itself for the first time on the stage of the Milan design week and does it with the awareness of those who have always known the system of Italian and international design. The context is “A Matter of Perception: Tradition & Technology”, an event organized by DAMn° and Mosca Partners.
The impressive staircase of Palazzo Litta becomes, through an installation of Matteo Ragni Design, the place where the company's history unfolds, creating a long, visual path that takes the visitor from the entrance to the main floor of the Palace. Consisting of a multitude of rubber floor samples, the ribbon takes the visitor up to the first landing where a large mural, perfectly grafted on the architectural structure of the building, tells the noblest starting point about the interconnection between company and design, namely the collaboration with studio Albini for the laying of the memorable rubber floor with "dots" that has always characterized the appearance of the Milanese metro stations
and trains.
The ribbon then leads to the last landing, here, a clear and simple installation celebrates, together with the new products, the collaboration between Artigo and Sottsass Associati, able to give life to a series of timeless and successful decorations.
