ANANTARA AL JABAL AL AKHDAR RESORT
Perched over 2,000 metres above sea level on the curving rim of a great canyon in Jabal Al Akhdar, the resort was designed by Atelier Pod, the award-winning firm specialized in creating strong identities, merging brand values and environment specificities. The studio was chosen for both Architectural and Interior design of the resort, after being shortlisted amongst 10 internationally recognized design firms.
The long inaccessible Jabal Al Akhdar, Arabic for “The Green Mountain”, is a towering massif on the Sultanate of Oman’s vast Saiq Plateau. The resort is located on a 6.6 Ha cliff edge with a total built-up area of 24,000m² including 115 keys, 6 restaurants and lounges, a Signature Spa, recreation facilities, to name a few of the amenities.
