BAGLIONI HOTEL LONDON
Spagnulo&Partners was in charge for the interior design of all common areas of the Baglioni Hotel, London, which is one of the most prestigious hotels in the city.
The client’s request was to fully redesign the ground floor interior (lobby, reception, bar and restaurant), taking into consideration the extremely refined luxury idea that this Boutique Hotel already transmitted to its guests over the years.
The intention of space changing, without altering its identity, was the first effort of the design process.
Gold, black and grey colour tones have been defined as the guidelines of the colour schemes in line with the previous image.
However, the introduction of certain materials and finishes was completely new.
The decorative glazing for the wall boiserie and suspended ceilings, the special 3d wall plaster with golden effects, the bronze and brushed brass inserts for flooring and furniture.
This particular relationship between a very defined identity and the need of renovation and contemporaneity is evident in the bar and restaurant.
While the decorative themes of walls and floors are same in the lobby and reception, there are added some new elements and themes of interior design.
In spite of the modern identity of the project, the central bar counter as well as its surrounding floor and the mirror walls are inspired by typical themes of the Italian bars and restaurants of the beginning of the century.
Also the furniture choices reflect the complexity of themes and references of the general interior project.
The contemporary armchairs in lounge area around the large fireplace are placed together with more traditional chairs for the restaurant area, as well as the modern suspended lamps get in accord with the large Venetian chandelier.
The stylistic sophistication and complexity of cultural references, defines this project as typical example of our interior design approach.
A special attention to details and a constant relation between modernity and tradition are the recurring elements in all projects of this firm.
Thanks to this, the meaning of style is always interpreted in a new project, becoming a unique experience tailor made.
