As a part of Marriott’s “Green Hotel Development” initiative, indigenous shrubbery and flowering plants can be found throughout the grounds interspersed with pieces of art and sitting areas. Inspired by the nearby butterfly biosphere reserve on Mt. Jiannan, an aluminium sculpture named “Butterflies” and created by Spanish artist Manolo Valdes, sits in the center of the landscape to serve as a tribute to nature and the arts.
